Industrial Speciality Lubricants
|
Speciality lubricants are chemical preparations designed for equipment working under extreme conditions of temperature, load, wear and environment where normal petroleum lubricants fail. These speciality lubricants easily operate under these extreme conditions and provide benefits such as reduced wear, reduced consumption of energy and lubricant, longer re-lubrication intervals and cleaner equipment and work places. These greases are based on high quality refined mineral oils and thickened with metallic soaps and complexes. High-Performance Greases with solid lubricants
These greases contain special solid lubricants that enhance their properties such as higher load, temperature and resistance. These greases are excellent for sliding surfaces under extreme conditions.

| These compounds are non-melting in nature and can withstand extreme temperatures. At 250"C, the base oil start decomposing but the solid lubricants continue to provide critical lubrication till about 480"C. Damping compounds are tacky, non-drying, highly viscous compounds designed to damp free motion, mostly rotary in nature. These compounds actually create friction and yet make movement more smooth but restricted. They remove 'play' and give a 'hand built' feel to rotating parts. They are used to lubricate electronic switches and plastic assemblies such as mechanical TV tuners and potentiometers, automobile switches and plastic/metal assemblies. They are also used to lubricate microscopes, binoculars, pens, hinges and a wide range of builders hardware.
